RUBBISH ROMEO AND JULIET
Rubbish Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet Trailer
Enemies. Balconies. Kissing… sausage rolls!?
Three idiots attempt to stage Shakespeare’s heartbreaking tragedy using only a box of pound-shop props, a flowery dress, a Simon Cowell mask, and a broom they found by the bins. Chaos ensues.
The hilarious and celebrated Rubbish Shakespeare Company presenteth their critically-acclaimed, comedic adaptation of The Bard’s most beloved play. Described as ‘like Horrible Histories but funnier’ (Primary Times), and with influences from Monty Python to Pixar, ‘Rubbish Romeo and Juliet’ promises to be an anarchic and joyous, interactive, family-friendly event. Oh my, it’s far from rubbish!
Featuring clowning, high octane slapstick and clever mischievous storytelling, plus a unique mix of modern day language and the original text, this accessible Shakespearean production is perfect for those studying WIlliam’s works or as an introduction to Shakespeare (or even theatre itself). This high energy play has all ages belly laughing in delight.
Suitable for ages 5-105!

THE INCOMPLETE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE
The year is 1603. King James has just taken the throne, and he isn’t a fan of theatre, especially the words and works of the 'upstart crow', William Shakespeare. Thankfully, William has been given one last chance to prove himself to the King, but he's 'unwell' and can't complete the script in time.
So it’s up to our band of merry players to finish it for him. Drawing upon suggestions from the audience, this eccentric, makeshift troupe will finish the play - one way or another - or it’s off with their heads!
Utilising clown, physical comedy, storytelling and live music, this completely improvised piece of theatre is a joyous, participatory, family-friendly event. Suitable for all ages, even those new to the bard (or even theatre).
6+ Family Friendly
“A CAVALCADE OF CHARACTERS, CHAOS AND CLOWN... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CATCH THIS SHOW IF YOU CAN. IT IS DIFFERENT TO THE NORMAL IMPROV WORK ON OFFER, AND THIS MAKES A REFRESHING CHANGE. IT BLENDS LIVE MUSIC, CLOWN, MAGIC REALISM, PHYSICAL THEATRE AND STORYTELLING INTO A DELICIOUS MIX”

“THE INCOMPLETE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE IS A BRILLIANT, BOLD, AND VERY FUNNY EVENING'S ENTERTAINMENT. IT MAY BE AIMED AT A FAMILY AUDIENCE - BUT TRUST ME, YOU DON'T NEED A CHILD TO ENJOY THIS!”

A RUBBISH MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
A Rubbish Midsummer Night's Dream Trailer
Fairies. Goblins. Donkeys... Super soakers!?!? Uh oh, it’s RUBBISH Shakespeare!
Athens. The past (before toasters). Four idiots dressed in bedsheets attempt to stage William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, using only a box of pound-shop props, a camel onesie, and a ladder they found by the bins. Will they succeed? Of course not, no. But oh my, will you belly-laugh at the results…
Described as ‘like Horrible Histories but funnier’ (Primary Times); take a dash of Python, a teaspoon of Pixar, sprinkle in some lightsabers and a big bucket of slapstick, and what you’re left with is a Shakespeare experience that’s unlike any other - it’s far from rubbish!
Having made celebrated, highly accessible Shakespeare for a decade, the Rubbish Shakespeare Company presents ‘The Dream’. A perfect introduction to Shakespeare - and an Edinburgh Fringe favourite - this smash-hit production will delight all ages, and seriously tickle your funny bone. Your kids will love it… and so will you!
